I used to think that part of becoming a ‘grown-up’ was figuring out what you were. You know, a doctor, a teacher, a builder, an artist. Well, I think I may have finally come to terms with the realization that I am not any one thing, or even any handful of things; and to try and define myself often just gives me a headache. I am a woman, a mother, an educator, a problem-solver, an herbalist, a student, a creator, a steward of this beautiful Earth. I love knowledge and research, while I also recognize that there are limits to our rational minds that leave us yearning for meaning and connection.
In real life, I am not one to speak on a whim. I tend to wait until I feel sure of my thoughts, and sure that others want to hear them. But there is a lot to be said. About simplicity. About family. About education. About people. About community. About life.
So here’s to living life to the fullest!
